We craft memorable stays by celebrating the Plateau's heritage and delivering unmatched guest experiences. Our getaways are built on ancestorial land where we have found arrowheads and safeguarded memories. This family property has had many uses since the early 1900s, and we are thrilled to share it with guests, allowing them to enjoy, rest, unwind, and commune with nature.

Excellence
When we set out to accomplish something, not only does it get completed, but it gets done right. Words that echoed from Ben’s past were from a college professor. “If you need something done right and soon, give the job to the busiest person you know.” That pretty well sums up our lives up here. We do the best job and work hard to make it something that matters. We do it with pride and excellence when we rehab each vacation home.
Quality
Some jobs take longer than others. As a family trying to do each house rehab project out-of-pocket, we sometimes must move to another project until we can access the best solution for the job at hand. It may be the extra time for a countertop or getting the just right flooring for the space. Moreover, we research and then accomplish the goals set with surpassing quality.
Hard Work
To obtain excellence and the quality we expect of ourselves and to be able to pass along these benefits to our guests, we work hard…all the time. Having a farm, full-time job, family, and running a short-term rental business means we don’t have a lot of downtime. There is great reward with this hard work — great places for others to find joy and fulfillment and enrichment of our lives as we meet new people.
Responsibility
The land we have has been handed down generationally. We don’t take this lightly. We find great pride in knowing we are not only restoring parts of this property that have been neglected but also turning it into something even better than it ever has been. That’s why we spend the time and money to get heavy machinery to excavate, rejuvenate, and rehabilitate the land and buildings onsite. Doing our best with these means our children have an even better future.
Innovation
When looking for ways to make spaces unique, we thought barn wood would help. Then we found out the prices! However, we found an old sawmill, essentially deserted after a death and family squabble. We were given permission to gather any wood we wanted. We furnished an entire house with “barn wood” walls. Another place has windows from an 1890’s South Florida mansion. It is such a blessing to use these resourced materials in our homes and the beauty they have brought!
Integrity
With each word, we have purpose and meaning. Without the pursuit of those, the words mean nothing. If we make a promise, we keep it. If we say something in passing, we don’t just forget about it. From praying for someone when we said we would to coming back with a full propane tank, we believe our actions define our integrity. How we act and what we do matters…to us and others around us.
